The CW thriller collection 'Nancy Drew' is set within the faux town of Horseshoe Bay, Maine. If town is no longer an actual place, then where is the show filmed?

The CW’s Nancy Drew series is a brand new take on Edward Stratemeyer's Nineteen Thirties thrill-seeking character. The thriller drama is targeted around Nancy (Kennedy McMann), as she solves both supernatural and earthbound mysteries in her haunted place of birth of Horseshoe Bay, Maine. The foggy, mystical the city is nearly as much of a character as Nancy is.

In the original Nancy Drew novels, the sleuth's place of birth was the fictional River Heights, Ill., which the CW series can pay homage to by means of naming Nancy's street River Heights. 

Nancy’s house is positioned at 118 River Heights Drive, Horseshoe Bay, Maine. The town is fictional but based on its zip code, it could be positioned in Knox County if it were actual.

So, if Horseshoe Bay doesn't exist, then where is the show filmed?

'Nancy Drew' is filmed in Horseshoe Bay and Vancouver, British Columbia.

Surprisingly, Nancy Drew is filmed in a town with the similar name as its faux one! 

Horseshoe Bay is a small village in the town of West Vancouver. The real Horseshoe Bay has a hectic ferry terminal and a small pier where one can discover Vancouver's inlets and wildlife. The Horseshoe Bay Police Department's exterior on Nancy Drew used to be filmed at Port Coquitlam City Hall, situated within the city of Port Coquitlam in British Columbia.
