Is Ted Danson bald?
Ted does have a bald spot, which viewers noticed in 2006 in Help Me Help You, a short-lived ABC sitcom that also marked audience’ first look at Ted’s all-gray hair.

“My hair became an issue of conversation to start with of Cheers,” Ted told journalists on the time, explaining that he had a small bald spot when that show began and that he’d conceal it with brown coloring and a combover, in step with Deseret News.
“And then the tabloids stated that I’m wearing an enormous hairpiece. And I couldn’t cross, ‘No, no — I just color it in.’ … I certainly did need to wear a bit of divot hairpiece for Sam Malone. ... And then one of the vital tabloids airbrushed my entire head and stated that I’m probably the most individuals who [are] utterly bald. And I, once once more, couldn’t say, ‘No, no, I just wear this little…’”

But with Help Me Help You, Ted stepped “out of the closet” as a balding, graying man, as he said at the time. “It’s really nice not to take a seat round with a number of ladies with silver issues in my hair getting dye jobs,” he added. “So I’m satisfied to be grey.”

Does Ted Danson put on a toupee?
Ted has worn a hairpiece on and off display over time, because the Los Angeles Daily News reported in 1990.
According to the newspaper, Ted stunned target market participants at that year’s Primetime Emmy Awards — when he in the end won an Emmy for his performance as Sam Malone on Cheers — through appearing off his bald spot for the first time and revealing that he wears his hairpiece.
“The approach you noticed him on the Emmys is the best way he looks,” Ted’s publicist instructed the Daily News on the time. “I feel Ted almost definitely shall be doing roles with and without the hairpiece.”
Mert Rich, a co-producer and creator on Cheers, informed the newspaper that he had most effective heard certain things about Ted’s divulge — and that the actor had joined him in the hair loss club.
“He came as much as me — because I am with out hair — and he mentioned, ‘See, I’ve joined you,’” Mert mentioned.

At the time, both Mert and Ted’s publicist denied the rumors that Cheers would make Sam balding, too. But as the hit sitcom wrapped up its run in 1993, Sam took off his hairpiece — which he referred to as a “hair replacement machine” — in Cheers’ fourth-to-last episode, “It’s Lonely on the Top.”
“It blew my mind the primary time I saw that episode,” one fan recently wrote on Reddit. “M. Night Shyamalan can’t write twists that surprising.”
