Is Adam Ruzek (Patrick John Flueger) leaving Chicago P.D.? Throughout Season 10, his undercover project has driven him deeper and deeper into bad territory. After realizing that Richard (played by means of Lee Tergesen) used to be far worse than he may have in all probability imagined, Adam discovered it harder and harder to extricate himself. Things came to a head within the Season 10 finale when Adam was shot.

Is Adam Ruzek leaving 'Chicago P.D.'? It's no longer looking just right.
Being deeply embedded in the underbelly of the crime international has resulted in an attractive bad state of affairs. However, when Adam gets shot there is slightly of a twist. In the finale, we're nonetheless left at nighttime when it comes to Richard's thriller plan which has been moved up. This of course sends Samantha (Caitlin Mehner), Richard's daughter, into panic mode. She makes a decision it is time to get the heck out of Dodge. This ends up in Adam blowing his quilt with the intention to get knowledge from her.

The best factor Adam is aware of for sure is Richard's plan would contain "multiple targets" and would result in "many casualties." With Samantha in custody, he's hoping to get extra out of her, but she is unwilling to cooperate. Richard may be her father, but he is a terrifying guy, and Samantha is afraid he'll kill her and kidnap her son. Adam plays the one card he has: immunity. This will get Samantha singing like a canary. She reveals the locations of all the assets her father owns or even names his friends.
The crew raids each location, discovering all of the usual dangerous guy issues: cash, explosives, firearms, and drugs. They additionally stumbled upon a blueprint which maps out Richard's scary scheme. Not simplest is he a terrorist and a drug broker, but Richard is a white supremacist who planned on blowing up Chicago basic colleges whose students have been essentially kids of colour.

While all of this is going on, Adam has brought Samantha and her son Callum to their home so they may clutch things and head to a secure area. Callum thinks they're going camping till the phone rings. It's Richard on the line, and it's not good. "He said that you're trying to trick us," Callum says to Adam. "My grandpa is trying to save the world and he says that you're trying to stop him ... He's getting rid of all the bad people, and you're going to stop him." At this point, Callum shoots Adam in the chest.

Is Adam Ruzek going to die? Patrick John Flueger undoubtedly hopes no longer.
Patrick John Flueger hasn't stated he is leaving Chicago P.D. after Season 10. The producers may just write Ruzek out and move on from the character as they did with Antonio Dawson in Season 6. But if Ruzek does die in Season 10, we could not in all probability know till Season 11. Also, he cannot die because we in the end got to look Ruzek and Burgess (Marina Squerciati) back together again. With all the mileage the show has gotten out of the chaotic romance of those two, it feels not likely that he'd be killed off now.
Beyond Chicago P.D., Patrick doesn't have every other long run initiatives indexed on his IMDb, so it's not likely that he desires to leave.
But even if Ruzek survives, he may well be significantly injured right through this brush with demise. Season 11 could display us the transition from him caring for Burgess to her caring for Ruzek. As lengthy as they keep together, we will keep satisfied.
